Reflections from Rachel

As we move forward in 2024, I am excited to see how God continues to move and guide our mission.

The Emerge team has been working to further improve our early successes within the men's recovery housing program. The Emerge 2 Life program will provide additional structure, phases, life skill development, accountability, and opportunities for our residents to continue on a positive path in their long-term recovery.

We will be looking to launch this by February and believe this will be a great way to enhance the programming and help residents achieve their goals and independence with the next level of support systems, housing, and clinical services.

Now in my second month, I’ve marveled at how God has placed every person here for a purpose and to serve others. As we expand our staff, our leadership team is working through some workplace culture exercises and trainings. We are creating an environment where we can be unified in our mission, even if we don't all see eye to eye at all times or have the same beliefs.

Matthew 12:25 Jesus said, "...Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand." Self seeking, self righteousness, gossip, slander, and being the king of our own lives only leads to division and destruction. The impact of a healthy workplace has a ripple effect.

This team truly loves what we have been called to do and I’m very blessed to work among people who care.
