Terry Moore, Clinical Manager, joined the Emerge family on 1/11/2024. Prior to coming to Emerge, Terry worked in community mental health for close to 12 years. Terry worked in a variety of clinical settings including residential treatment and outpatient treatment. Terry previously practiced as a mental health therapist, substance use disorder therapist, and as a crisis therapist. He has also supervised mobile crisis services in Greene County, the Quick Response Team in Greene County, and the 988/National Suicide Prevention Lifeline staff. Terry also has multiple years of experience of working with individuals struggling with severe persistent mental illness and is experienced in prevention / postvention suicide.

Terry graduated with his master’s degree in social work in 2021 and is a Registered Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Trainer. Terry is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and an Independently Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC). He is also a member of the Crisis Intervention Training Steering Committee, which is facilitated through the Mental Health Recovery Board of Clark, Greene, and Madison counties. He is also a member of the Greene County Suicide Prevention Coalition and works closely with the Greene County Veterans Services office to help assist veterans.

Terry loves going to flea markets, collecting art, collecting old gas pumps, and enjoys spending time with his family.

Terry believes that everyone can change given the right opportunity and environment.

Terry’s passion to help others, his belief in people, and belief in God help him to look beyond persons mistakes to help them be the person God intended them to be.
