    Restoration House: Furnishing Hope

    Back to Blog

Right now, the space is bare—just exposed walls and open rooms. But soon, this unfinished structure will become Restoration House: a place where women will gather, share their stories, and experience encouragement, healing, and restoration. What stands unfinished today will soon be filled with hope, dignity, and new beginnings.

Every woman deserves a safe place to land and a clear path forward. Yet for far too many women—those recovering from addiction, reentering society after incarceration, aging out of foster care, or surviving homelessness—that stability remains out of reach.

This spring, Emerge is preparing to launch the Women's Transitional Housing Project, a transformational program designed to offer more than just a roof overhead. Located within our 240,000-square-foot ecosystem, this project will renovate a 3,000-square-foot space into a trauma-informed home for women navigating mental health and substance use disorders. Restoration House will provide a safe, structured environment where women can heal from trauma, rebuild their lives, and regain independence.

Through innovative, resident-driven programming, women will have access to clinical services, case management, mental health support, life skills development, educational opportunities, and vocational pathways, all tailored to support sustainable recovery and long-term stability. Many of the women served will be mothers working toward reunification with their children—determined to build a self-reliant future for themselves and their families.

    Filling a Critical Gap

This project fills a critical gap in our region. While more than 800 men have benefited from our comprehensive, long-term transitional housing programs, no comparable model currently exists locally for women. Restoration House will change that by offering safe housing, wraparound support, and workforce pathways for women facing significant barriers.

From couches and tables to beds and kitchen supplies, every detail matters. Each contribution helps women know they are supported by their community. This is more than housing—it's an investment in resilience, dignity, and possibility.

If you're interested in partnering with us, links to give or help furnish the home are included below. Together, we can transform this space—and the lives it will hold.
