Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative Hosting Open House June 16
Clinical services now available to the public
XENIA — After more than a year of planning, renovations and other formalities the men’s recovery housing space within the Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative campus has been completed.
And, with professional services now available for people seeking treatment from addiction, organizers at Emerge are having an open house on Friday, June 16, with tours available to the public.
The community open house, which is from noon to 6 p.m., commemorates and celebrates the completion of the men’s recovery space at Emerge, which is located at 2960 W. Enon Road. Renovations began last year and were funded by county support, private foundations, individual contributions, and investments by the Emerge founders.
Due to the ongoing support from the Green County Commissioners, all three of whom will be on-site, the men’s space is being dedicated in their honor.
“We invite members of the community to our open house to meet our team and experience the many updated spaces within the Emerge campus,” said Elaine Bonner, director of philanthropy at Emerge. “We will have tours of the renovations within the men’s recovery housing area and our diagnostic trade school labs.”
Community members are also encouraged to check out the newly opened Arise Café and visit the Emerge Clinical Services Center.
“People are welcome to stroll around our 45 acres of nature,” Bonner said. “See for yourself what makes Emerge a new model for recovery treatment services.”
Leading the clinical team at Emerge is Nathan Crago, who has more than 20 years of experience locally in the treatment field. Crago came on board as director of recovery services in October.
“This is super exciting — the prospect of getting ready to watch so many lives change because of what we will be offering here,” Crago said. “This has the potential to change the way these services are delivered and change the industry.”
Emerge is currently offering clinical services for outpatient, which include diagnostic assessments, individual substance use counseling, intensive outpatient group counseling, standard outpatient group counseling, case management, and peer recovery support.
“All treatment plans will be individualized and based on each client’s personal need,” Crago said. “Our focus here at Emerge is going to be providing excellent care and making sure clients are linked with all the resources they need in order to achieve a full recovery.”
Located at 2960 W. Enon Road at the Clinical Services Center building at the north end of the property, the hours of clinical services are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call the clinical team at (937) 272-4925 option #2 for clinical services.
What is Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative?
Located at the former Greene County Career Center on 45-acres of rural land, Emerge is the world’s first vocational community for people in recovery and youth aging out of foster care.
Once it is fully operational, Emerge will have 50 beds for men, 50 beds for women and 25 beds for youth aging out of foster care on site with wide range of transitional housing options available off-site. Emerge will serve people from all over Ohio. People successfully completing the programming at Emerge will leave with state-certifications and sustainable careers in the skilled trades sector. Emerge started in 2021, when Kip Morris, CEO of Five Star Home Services partnered with Chris Adams of Narrow Path Plumbing and Doug Van Dyke of Van Martin Roofing to purchase the property and form the nonprofit.
Five Star Home Services has dozens of smaller, local companies throughout Ohio; it is one of the state’s most exemplary second-chance employers as well as one of the fastest growing home services companies in the Midwest.
