Meet Gloria Toyne, Director of Social Enterprises

New Director Brings Synergy to Emerge

With a heart for healing and a mind for business, Gloria Toyne steps into her new role determined to unite purpose, people, and enterprise under one empowering vision.

Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative in Xenia Township is proud to welcome Gloria Toyne as the new Director of Social Enterprises. Joining the team at the end of October, Gloria brings a passion for helping people grow—both personally and professionally—and a vision to create synergy across Emerge's social enterprise ecosystem.

"I want to help everything work together in unison. My goal is to create new career paths and ventures for our clients and residents, building an environment where every part of Emerge supports one another."

    — Gloria Toyne

    A Calling That Found Her

When asked what led her to Emerge, Gloria smiles. "God works in mysterious ways," she said.

She was in the process of launching her own workshops and newsletters designed to help people stabilize their lives after trauma when Elaine Bonner—Director of Philanthropy at Emerge—came across one of her articles. The two met for coffee, and their conversation quickly revealed a shared vision for supporting women in recovery.

"Emerge was preparing to expand its programs to include women, and Elaine saw how my background aligned with that mission. It was one of those divine connections where everything just fit."

    — Gloria Toyne

    Why This Mission Matters

Gloria's connection to Emerge's mission runs deep. Her background in helping people overcome trauma and rebuild their lives aligns perfectly with the holistic approach that Emerge takes to recovery.
