Partnerships to better serve the community
Over the past month, the Emerge team has continued to form partnerships to better serve the needs within our community. We continue to work with judicial systems and probation departments in Greene, Clark, Montgomery, Miami, and Clinton counties in order to help our mutual clients connect with Emerge substance use treatment services so that they may have a smooth and successful transition back into the community from incarceration.
We are in the planning stages with the Green Leaf Program, a treatment program within the Greene Co jail, on how we may be able to collaborate in order to provide ongoing treatment, supportive housing, and vocational opportunities to their clients that are transitioning back into the community.
Emerge is on the planning committee for the new Greene County jail and we’re looking forward to being able to assist in the development of our new Greene County jail’s programming. Our hope is that we will be able to connect with clients while they are incarcerated in order to educate them about and connect them with resources available in the community where they will eventually return.
We continue to raise awareness about our Outpatient programs, Walk-In Clinic, and Recovery Housing opportunities and recently provided a presentation at the Miami County Drug Free coalition meeting in March. We currently have nearly 50 community partners involved in supporting those we serve.
