Empowering Lives: The Impact of Our Peer Support Team

Imagine navigating the challenges of living with a mental health or substance use disorder, only to find a team of dedicated professionals ready to support and guide you every step of the way. This is what our peer support team does every day—empowering individuals to live their best lives despite their conditions.

Our team comprises seasoned professionals with extensive leadership experience in the behavioral health field. Each member brings a wealth of knowledge in designing and implementing programs tailored to meet the unique needs of those with mental health and substance use disorders. Their expertise helps improve mental health services and support systems across our community.

Creating Pathways to Success

We believe in the power of community and connection. Our role involves more than just offering advice—we create support groups, organize workshops, provide reentry support, facilitate job placement and training, launch trade initiatives, and ensure fair access to quality education. These efforts help individuals rebuild their lives and achieve their goals.

One of our clients found new hope through our support. After struggling with substance use disorder and facing significant employment barriers, he joined our job placement program. With our help, a stable job was secured, confidence soared, and the hope of a a brighter future became a reality!

Building Strong Community Ties

Our team collaborates with a variety of community leaders and organizations, including CareSource, The Mental Health Recovery Board of Clark, Greene, and Madison counties, Sinclair Community College, The Fatherhood Initiative, and The Hope Spot. We also connect with local jails and alternative therapy providers like equine, pet, and music therapy.

These partnerships enrich our programs, providing additional support to help individuals overcome challenges such as securing viable career paths, battling societal stigma, and accessing necessary treatment. By addressing co-occurring mental health disorders, employment and housing barriers, educational limitations, lack of social support, financial strain, legal issues, and restricted access to continuing education, we pave the way for lasting recovery.
